MEG, which stands for Mutable Efficient Growing, is a consulting firm working in the field of photobiology applied to bio-industry, agribusiness and expanding into space exploration. Photobiology is the discipline that studies the interaction between light and living organisms; specifically, MEG deals with applications such as cultivation and defense of higher plants, cultivation of photosynthetic microorganisms and insect breeding.

Founded in 2015, MEG act as a link between laboratory research and industrial application: currently under is belt are several research projects with academic departments in Lombardy, Piedmont, and Campania, as well as private companies across Italy.

In recent years, MEG has expanded its footprint in space-related research, actively participating in international conferences, symposia, and collaborative projects focused on bioregenerative systems and closed-loop ecosystems for space habitats. By addressing critical challenges such as protein production, organic waste bioconversion, CO2 bio-fixation, and food security, MEG is at the forefront of developing technologies that support long-duration human missions and extraterrestrial sustainability.

MEG invests in R&D projects to generate Intellectual Property, to be exploited through licensing for industrial and commercial use. MEG also manages all aspects related to industrialization and market positioning, leveraging its technical and managerial expertise and a multidisciplinary network of internationally recognized experts.
