Microsis srl

Microsis srl is a SME company which has been operating since 1990 in the field of electronics for defence,  industry and space. Microsis is based in Italy, in the industrial area of Formello (near Rome) where it has purchased a building of about 1000 square meters where it has set up all its design and manufacturing activities.

MICROSIS cooperates in various research projects with many institutions such as University of Rome La Sapienza, CNR (Italian National Research Cometee), University of Rome Tor Vergata, ISS (Italian Health Institute), University of Siena, IHP (Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics Frankfurt – Oder), DLRL (Defence Electronics Research Laboratory).

Given that Microsis manufactures systems on request of its customers, over the years it has developed particular experiences in the field of microwaves (RF signal management), high voltage power systems and high power transmitters for space applications (ground segment).

In this context, Microsis manufactures the main transmitter (X-Band HPA 20kW cW) currently used in ESA ground stations (Cebreros in Spain, New Norcia in Australia, Malargue in Argentina). For this project, Microsis carries out the evolutionary design and manufacture of all the components and subsystems that make it up (from the cryogenic system to monitoring and control, from the pre-amplification and amplification system to the power supply system up to the guide circuit and structural mechanics).

The quality system of Microsis srl is ISO 9001 certified while for data security Microsis is ISO 27001 certified. The technical staff is IPC A 610 certified and the company follows ISO 14001 certified environmental procedures. Given that Microsis operates in the field of defense and of dual-use applications Microsis has the necessary qualifications to operate in the context of classified projects.

As a corollary of this organization, Microsis actively collaborates with a number of business networks: Microsis is a member of ATEN-IS (Advanced Technology Network Integrated), ASAS SPAZIO (Association for Space-based Applications and Services), Virtual District of ASI (Agenzia Spaziale Europea) and is a founding member of R.O.M.E. Innovation (LEADING PARTNER OF ROME INNOVATION POLO) Digital Innovation Hub.
