    HIPPARCOS S.r.l. is a hi-tech startup born in Spring 2022, founded by the Team of EICAS Automazione S.p.A. with the goal of producing and commercializing Autonomous Attitude Determination (AADS) and Control System (ADCS/AOCS) specifically conceived for the SmallSats market. The parent company EICAS Automazione has been working in the field of autonomous attitude determination since the foundation (1984).

      HIPPARCOS provides star trackers coping customers’ needs in term of requirements, configurations and target missions. The star tracker portfolio is composed of:

      • ARGO Full Autonomous (FA) is a fully autonomous, plug & play solution, featuring high robustness and flexibility. It is targeted to larger platforms (beyond 50 kg) in single-satellite missions or small constellation where a robust Plug and Play solution is preferable to a Centralized Processor.
      • ARGO Semi Autonomous (SA) is a lighter and smaller architecture, with SW running on Spacecraft OBC (On Board Computer) in order to reduce the system SWAP (Size Weight And Power). It is a solution that targets the constellation market.
      • ARGO Interplanetary SA is based on the ARGO SA architecture, with suitable hardware selected for use in interplanetary missions
