Spaceflux Italia Srl is the Italian subsidiary of Spaceflux, a technology startup founded in London in 2022. The company focuses on Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA), providing advanced services for monitoring and analyzing space traffic and orbital debris.
The Italian operations hub is in Venice, officially inaugurated in January 2025. Spaceflux Italia aims to strengthen the company’s European presence by building an autonomous technology hub integrated with the British parent company.
Spaceflux stands out for its proprietary global network of optical telescopes—deployed across 15 locations on five continents—and for its Cortex platform, which uses artificial intelligence to deliver real-time data on space objects, including small ones. This technology enables the tracking of objects down to 2.5 cm in low Earth orbit (LEO) and 10 cm in geostationary orbit (GEO), with sub-arcsecond accuracy.
The company works with government agencies and commercial operators to prevent collisions, protect space infrastructure, and ensure the safety of orbital operations. Notable projects include Spaceflux’s contribution to monitoring the fragmentation of the Intelsat 33e satellite in 2024, providing critical data for emergency response.
As it expands its sensor network and continues to develop innovative technologies through Spaceflux Labs, the company is establishing itself as a European leader in space situational awareness, addressing the challenges of orbital congestion and promoting the sustainability of space activities.

Upstream
Spaceflux provides precision optical tracking and advanced analytics across all orbital regimes.
Through our proprietary global network of optical sensors and the Cortex cloud platform, we offer a comprehensive suite of products and services, from high-precision tracking to AI-driven predictive analytics, for monitoring and protecting orbital assets from LEO to GEO.
Our customers, including national space agencies, ministries of defence, and commercial satellite operators, benefit from immediate access to superior-quality data and cutting-edge analytic tools.
Data tracking services
Our optical tracking system delivers sub-arcsecond precision with millisecond-level timestamps across all orbital regimes. Integration with Cortex enables instant onboarding: clients can begin operating within hours, without complex integrations.
The platform supports real-time sensor tasking, allowing tracking priorities to be dynamically adapted to operational needs. Data are delivered in standard TDM format over secure channels, ensuring full compatibility with existing systems and preserving data sovereignty.
This fast, turnkey approach is especially valuable during critical phases such as launches, proximity operations, or fragmentation events. Users receive immediately actionable information, ready for decision-making, without the need to build complex data-processing pipelines.
Sovereign hardware solutions
Spaceflux offers complete hardware systems to establish independent space-surveillance capabilities. Our solutions, already deployed in critical national programmes, including the UK’s first sovereign optical SSA sensor, ensure full operational control and data custody.
The modular architecture supports mission-specific configurations. Each node includes real-time edge processing, enabling data analysis at the point of capture - essential for remote sites or high-security applications.
The platforms support multiple operating modes: routine tracking, detailed object characterisation, behavioural analysis, and monitoring of specific events. The modular approach protects investment, allowing future expansions without replacing existing infrastructure.
Our team provides end-to-end support from planning through implementation, ensuring optimal integration with existing infrastructures and minimal operational disruption. Every system is tuned to the client’s specific operating conditions.
Intelligent, autonomous analytics
Spaceflux’s analytics turn raw data into operational intelligence via advanced AI algorithms. The system continuously monitors the orbital environment, forecasting hazardous interactions and identifying anomalous behaviours before they become critical.
Our AI correlates multi-angle observations to detect undeclared manoeuvres, non-cooperative behaviours, or mission anomalies. Predictive monitoring of close approaches provides timely alerts on potential collisions or proximity events, enabling preventive action.
Insights are delivered through customisable dashboards, detailed geospatial overlays, or concise reports for high-level briefings. Each client receives information in the format best suited to their operational needs, ensuring immediate access to critical data.
The integration of tracking, edge processing, and AI enables autonomous sensor tasking: the system can automatically increase observation cadence on objects of interest or reconfigure sensors to follow specific events, maximising operational efficiency.
