    Volta Structural Energy presents a groundbreaking innovation in energy storage technology: the Volta Structural Battery (VSB). Our revolutionary solution seamlessly integrates structural functionality with energy storage capabilities through a proprietary sandwich panel architecture, eliminating the traditional separation between structural components and battery systems.

    Core Technology
    The VSB technology features our patented pouch cells that form the heart of this innovation. These cells can be customized in various geometries, corrugation patterns, lengths, and widths to meet specific application requirements. Assembled they create a honeycomb panel capable of supporting significant mechanical loads while storing energy.

    Within this ingenious honeycomb structure, cells are electrically connected through welded terminals to achieve desired voltage and amperage configurations. The completed structural battery sandwiches this core between two rigid external layers (skins) that provide electrical insulation and mechanical support, resulting in a panel that simultaneously offers structural integrity and energy storage.

    • Flexible System Design: Configurable power output and voltage range from 3V to 800V.
    • Energy Density: 500 Wh to 4+ kWh per square meter (depending on panel thickness) and equivalent battery pack energy density of approximately 200 Wh/kg, up to 1000 Wh/kg equivalent energy density in optimized applications.
