Zoppas Industries Heating Element Technologies (ZIHET) is a world leader with 60 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of heating elements and systems for all sorts of applications, including aerospace.
Given its global presence and extensive experience in numerous applications, the group
has developed a portfolio of skills and technologies to support the development of smart heating solutions in a wide range of sectors from consumer to industrial high tech and owns the most important certifications in accordance with the Standards required in those markets.
In the space sector the company design and manufacture flexible heaters for space
satellites, spacecrafts, pressurised modules and ground-based antennas since 1992, and
is qualified for space applications according to ESA specification ESCC 4009/002 and
4009/004.
Flexible heaters are typically used for thermal balancing of structures subject to
sub-zero temperatures, moisture removal from semiconductors and circuits in
payloads, defogging of sensors and lens and snow melting for ground-based
antennas.

ZIHET develops reliable, flexible and high quality systems for thermal balancing of structures subject to sub-zero temperatures, moisture removal from semiconductors and circuits in payloads, defogging of sensors and lens and snow melting for ground-based antennas.
Thermal design of the heater track is optimised to achieve the required temperature pattern on the surface, with a max operating temperature of 200°C and ohm density up to 330 ohm/cm2.
The whole product design, production and test process for the aerospace sector takes place in our European facilities, in compliance with rigorous procedural and quality standards.
